Paired with a sporting event and community events, Family Weekend provides families with a chance to experience Boone through the eyes of a student. It is an exciting time in the Boone area and we hope you are able to visit your student's favorite coffee shops, experience a mountaintop hike at sunrise, shop in our downtown stores, or take a nap in a hammock.
Family Weekend is offered each Fall and Spring and is designed for you and your student. We include open time in the schedule for each event so you can plan your own fun together.

Each fall, App State welcomes Mountaineer families for a special weekend filled with campus and community events, including a home football game. It’s the perfect time to visit campus, take in the fall colors, and experience the Mountaineer spirit together.
