Family Engagement is a component of New Mountaineer & Family Engagement at Appalachian State University. Family Engagement is committed to keeping the families of App State students informed, engaged and supported throughout their students’ educational experience. From Family Orientation to Family Weekend programming, to monthly newsletters and important updates on campus issues, Family Engagement serves as a liaison between the university and the parents and families of students.
New Mountaineer & Family Engagement also helps prepare students for their transition to life at App State through a series of precursory experiences, including new student orientation, Welcome Weekend and the Trailhead Experience.
